I love Halloween and the whole fall season. It's fun and festive. A reason to decorate, be outside, enjoy nature and be scary. It's the one time of year I decorate almost everything - hanging lights, halloween pics from days past....love it. One of the things I have been exploring with the boys, since I have always been a HUGE movie and TV fan, especially classics and B&W's, is showing them shows that probably no one watches anymore. Over the summer they fell in love with I Love Lucy - Connor can't get enough of it. They watched the original Superman series, I Love Lucy, Lone Ranger, etc. Now that it's Halloween, what a perfect time to share some of my old classic spook'm favorites - in the coming 2 weeks, they will be watching
"Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin", "Abbott and Costello Meets the Mummy", "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" (it doesn't get any funnier than Don Knotts), and of course, what would be a spookfest without current favorite like
"Halloweentown", "Hocus Pocus", "Twitches", "Little Vampire", and "Moms got a date with a vampire". Don't worry, we won't be spending all our time inside watching movies, we also have pumpkin patches to conquer, pumpkin seeds to roast, pumpkins to decorate and costumes to prepare!
