“All that survives after our death are publications and people. So look carefully after the words you write, the thoughts and publications you create, and how you love others. For these are the only things that will remain.” - Susan Niebur

Memories
It's hard to believe that 2 years have come and gone since my friend Lori's death. It seemed to happen so quickly and unexpectedly. I still struggle with it, especially as fall approaches. She loved fall. I would get tons of emails from her on all the local activities - especially the free ones with food! Always a favorite when you have 3 kids in tow. I don't know how she kept up and never slowed down no matter how sick she had become. I am ever so grateful for the fall day we spent at the Chevy Chase firehouse, a favorite of open house events. Our twins enjoyed moon bounce slides, a magic show, hot dogs and popcorn together. Lori LOVED historic amusement parks. Someday I hope to visit the ones she loved most and shared with me. I hope some day I am able to share with her twins, Jeff and Julia, exactly how much they were truly wanted and loved. Lori, I'm thinking of you. Thanks for sharing all your memories.
