First came the locusts....

Its been a heck of a year so far.....2 blizzards back to back that spurred the creation of many play on words....mine being "Shiver Spring" which brought about days of no power for our busy suburb. Next it was "Silver Shaking" for when we had our earthquake last week.....now we are once again without power due to a 15 minutes blow through storm which has left ALL traffic lights out for miles and miles - businesses, schools, camps and grocery stores CLOSED! It's a mess. Luckily for us....trust me, this doesn't happen very often, we got our power back first. What should we call this current act of nature "Summergeddon", "Silent Spring", "Silver Sweating"....whatever it is, my survival mode has blown a fuse and needs repair. Hello Mother Nature, I could use a vacation to the Bahamas!

Funny moment for the day (most places are still without some form of power)....my physical therapists office calls and says "Mrs. Hill, we're open for business but at this time, the building's elevators are not working. Do you think you could WALK UP to the 7th floor for your 8:45 a.m. appointment." Hello? I actually started laughing and remarked "are you crazy, I wouldn't be in physical therapy if I could walk up 7 stories....there is a reason me and the rest of your patients are in PT." I know it wasn't polite, but come on - 7 floors??!!
