Joy of Cooking

This weekend is our Church Fall Fair. Tons of rummage items (which is perfect for little people to buy lots of other people's junk for just 10 cents or less). It the boy's favorite - they look forward to it all fall. All 3 boys committed time (especially Austin who worked almost every night for a week) to pushing boxes from room to room, hauling out trash, unloading boxes for our Women's Circle. They were even more excited to learn that I had volunteered to make a bunch of pies for the lunches they sell. They did all the fabulous work and were very proud - Austin read the recipe, all 3 did a great job measuring, pouring and of course, mixing. All I did was keep a watchful eye and put it in the oven! Alas, I was left to clean up the mess....hint, pumpkin pie mix does not clean up so well once it's dried on the floor!

So cute...Adam loves to cook too. We are actually taking a Fairfax County class that teaches about the joy of cooking.

You know, given that you have SO MUCH free time teaching at the twins' school, you could teach a cooking class too. ;)

You've got quite an operation going on their. How did the pie turn out? I'm sure it was great, especially without the vinegar! Tee Hee
