Shaking Things Up AGAIN!

We started summer with VBS Shake It Up Cafe....little did we know we would be ending summer shaking it up again with a 5.8 EARTHQUAKE! Unlike last year when we did feel and hear the 3.1 earthquake at 5 a.m., this time with the quake being twice as big - we MISSED it! Figures we just got new tires for our van, so the ride is smooth and driving down the road we felt nothing. Started to notice lots of people standing outside buildings...thought it odd and stopped to ask. So we missed it. Biggest earthquake in this area in 100 years...and we missed it. So we stayed home the rest of the day and evening waiting to experience an aftershock. Our luck, it will come while we sleep. No damage. Nothing interesting as a result. Though it was hysterical to watch DC in evaluation mode, sending thousands of government workers out on the roads and metro to cause a HUGE traffic mess and extremely long commute. Go figure. We didn't even have a picture fall off the wall, not even our lawn chairs overturned, yet...they evacuated a city! That makes for good news!
