You might ask yourself, how may days can one truly lounge around in their fuzzy pjs? Can you really go from being motivated to a slug? Can you just not care how much clutter is laying around you? Well, I can answer all those - indefinitely, yes, yes! The snow storm did it. When in doubt, blame it on the snow. We have spent so many days in our pjs since December it makes me wonder whether we will ever trade them in for real clothes. You would think being snowed in that many days (I lost count) would motivate you to start or finish projects and get caught up. Not really. Don't worry, there is hope for our salvation....flowers are budding in our yard. That made our eyes perk up. We've heard birds chirpping and our ears perked up. We've started thinking that some day soon, we may trade our pjs for a bathing suit! We may actually break free of the house. We are usually just as active in the winter as we are in the summer, not letting anything slow us down to explore and learn. But this year, we didn't even get to do our President's weekend visit to historical places. We were bummed. You can't do much when the snow plow forgot that we existed and the thought of buddling up one more time to go out made us retreat back to bed. Come on spring and summer, we're ready. Come and save us. We need saving from this black hole we've been sucked into. As I look over at the boys this morning in their fuzzy pjs, I asked them if they are ready for spring and if there was anything they wanted to say about all the snow...
Connor - "before all the snow I liked school but now after being home...well...I don't like getting dressed."
Dylan - "I would like for it to snow one more time but this time so its over our fence! "
Do you see the mindset there? Come on Spring, come save us from ourselves....we need our lives back, we need activity, we need new pjs!!
