“All that survives after our death are publications and people. So look carefully after the words you write, the thoughts and publications you create, and how you love others. For these are the only things that will remain.” - Susan Niebur

11111111111111111111.....
My first baby boy is 11 years old today. Double ones. Will never be double ones again. He is one year closer to officially being a teenager. I'm feeling the pangs of motherhood upon me. It should be allowed that every year on their birthday, even if for just a brief moment, they are small again, laying on your chest all snuggly. Ahhhh, those were the days. Yesterday during an open house celebration at Grandpa Rick's and Nana Sandy's house, they surprised Austin with a cake. Today, we had a fun celebration of laser tag. It was a treat this year, I let Austin pick 5 friends, we picked them up and they all got to ride in the van together...with just me as the driver. Brett drove the other car with the twins and cake. Surprisingly, it turned out well. I've known all the boys for a long time though that wouldn't save me if they all decided to get rowdy. They had a fun time carpooling together, playing a couple games of laser tag and of course eating! We had some of the adults in on the action - mainly because we were worried about the little ones. Silly us, though only 5 and 6 year olds, they were tough, got out there and shot away! Everyone had fun and that's what matters most. Seeing the smile on my little man's face is priceless every time!

This is a cool video and it shows that the kids had a great time at laser tag.
