Zoolicious
New discovery this week, a trip to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. It was a gem in the woods. A small zoo covered in shade and a tram (why can't the National Zoo have one?). Though small, it offered alot - not big on variety - but different types of exhibits and experiences. First, the boys got to feed a giraffe, then went on a camel ride, visited a baby elephant, cheek to cheek with a cheetah (thanks to a wall of plexiglass - it really freaked them out when they leaned on the glass and a cheetah appeared suddenly), an amazing exhibit of birds and ducks found on the Chesapeake Bay and exploring the woods and caves...it was all fun! It's a great place to take your time, get some exercise, not worry about the sun and enjoy the shade and have some hands-on experiences with the kids (I saw alot of grown up having fun too). We loved it! http://www.marylandzoo.org/ and http://www.aparentinsilverspring.com/2009/08/guest-post-by-becky-hill-baltimore-zoo.html
