30th what????

That's right - 30th High School reunion for Richard Montgomery - Go Rockets! Not sure how this happened - does that mean I'm over 40?? It was a great time. Originally, I was NOT going to go, then my long time and dear friend Linda Nolte, from Memphis, TN, talked me into going. Well, if I was going to drag myself, I was definitely MAKING my other dearest friend, Nancy Fox go. So after many phone calls and emails, we all relented and went. I don't know why we really didn't want to go. It was silly. All 3 of us had a great time! Alot of people say, "there is no one I would want to keep in touch with" or "who would I want to see"....but the way I look at it, it's part of who you were, it's part of your past, its nice to reminise even if it is with acquaintances. You might really surprise yourself on who you end up spending time with or staying in touch with. And there is the part...."I look different - no hair, or I'm fat". Well, yes those things happen. But guess what - it's part of life. And if those things are happening to YOU, they have happened to ALOT of other classmates. Sorry guys, but the guys change the most. Less hair, glasses, weight gain....this reunion especially, had a lot of people wondering who the heck some of these guys were - guess what, they were people they actually hung out with in high school. It was quite funny. So if you have an opportunity - just once, GO! Get yourself on Facebook or classmates.com (Facebook is pretty popular and works best I think) and hook up with a few people. Chat, exchange life stories, chat, gossip about people from the past....before you know it, there is one person you might want to meet in person. A huge thanks to the friends who every 5 years make so much effort to put this event together. Our next event..... yikes.....celebrating our 50th birthdays!! I think I need to lay down now....I'm going to faint over that one!
