This has been a busy week of outdoor fun. On Tuesday, the preschool went to Wheaton Regional Park to celebrate Lag B'omer, a time of celebration. Children in Israel go to parks and celebrate with games, bonfires and lots of fun. We had a big rain the night before but luckily it stopped by morning. Unfortunately, we weren't able to ride the train since the tracks were still wet. Instead we got to ride the carousel twice - a big hit. The kids had lots of fun running, climbing, running some more, going down slides....running some more! Then today was field day at Austin's school for grades 3-5. It was also Wacky Hair Day and since Austin's team was "Switzerland", we painted his hair (and the twins since they didn't want to be left out either) to match the Swiss flag - red and white! The gym teachers do a great job of inventing relays, games, obstacles...you name it. They start in the morning and stop at the end of the day, with just a break for lunch. I was in charge of the "cup stacking relay" in the afternoon. It covered the ball diamond - the twins were great help at resetting up cones, fixing the cups, lining stuff up and demonstrating to the masses while I gave instructions. The weather held out - despite looking like alot of rain and wind - it was warm, summy and clear! Everyone "should" be tired tonight right?

Connor has some legs on him. Too bad that he got caught up on the details. First you wait for them to crawl, then stand, and finally walk... not realizing that running is just right around the corner. Stop the clock!
