A Quilt of Best Wishes

My friend Wendy from church headed to DC this morning at 4:00 a.m. During the journey to this day, she has made many trips to DC to photograph the preparations. One of the things she did to include her friends in such a special event was to request people to send her brief notes to President Obama, she would design them into mini banners and then pin them to a quilt she will wear. She said the people on the mall were like a quilt of the world. I thought that was a very beautiful statement, and she will be wearing her quilt with all our well wishes.
