The Big Bird preschool class has a designated "Star of the Week" throughout the year. This week it's Connor. You can tell from the grin on his face, that he is extremely happy (click on the pic to see his poster up close)! When you are the "Star", they encourage the parents to either bring a special snack or do a craft or read a book - just something so the child is proud you came in (at least we hope they are proud). Today, Austin joined Connor's class (no public school today) and created balloon art for the kids. He made a crown for Connor and showed everyone how to make a balloon dog, which he then made one for everyone to take home. 
Doesn't the "crown" make him look like the flying nun? (that's a show from the 60's). Not sure yet what the plan of activities for the rest of the week, I'll probaby read a story and bring a special snack, maybe an activity. Then next is Dylan's turn!

What a great way to validate each child in the classroom. Can't wait to see the pics for Dylan.
