Have you ever heard of a Lego Convention? How did we ever miss this one in the past! (Thanks to Jessica of A Parent in Silver Spring blog http://www.aparentinsilverspring.com/ who keeps me posted on so many great things!) Saturday, Austin and I attended the DC Brick Fair. Legos and more legos everywhere! And if you're wondering....those that were exhibiting were generally adults (rather "big" kids). It was really something to see and if you ever have a chance to go...GO! Austin had a blast, especially in the room with piles of legos just thrown on the floor and you could build whatever you wanted for however long you wanted. I thought it was really fascinating - my favorite were the castles and medieval lands (very large setups of kingdoms). And for those Lego enthusists out there, an indoor Legoland has just opened in Chicago. http://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/chicago/us . Not to mention Legoland in California - which is still on our wish list of vacations. Next stop - Disney World - countdown is 6 days to go! Twins will celebrate their 5th birthday with Cinderella! Can't wait!
